Alfredo Watkins
Duke University

Hello! I'm Alfredo.
I am an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Duke University and the Executive Director of the Transformative Ideas program at Duke. I received my PhD in philosophy from UNC Chapel Hill. I did my undergraduate work at UCLA. My main areas of research are in political philosophy, ancient philosophy, and philosophy of science (especially philosophy of mathematics).
My work on political theory focuses on questions of justice, power, and empire, with particular focus on applications to international relations. In the realm of philosophy of science I am especially interested in neo-Aristotelian metaphysics and its applications to contemporary science and mathematics.
